Using Your Cam As An Online Burglar Alarm

I’ve noticed on one of the cam sites I now frequent, a lot of people are online almost 24/7. But they’re not really.  Many’s the time I’ve checked out one particular channel to find the cam focused on an empty sofa and a display cabinet containing a few trinkets.

I’m guessing that the woman lives on her own and is nervous of intruders, so she leaves the cam and chat room open as an early warning system should some myopic burglar be inclined to give her one before leaving with the booty from the cabinet.
